2nd Annual Femme Frontera Filmmaker Showcase

Femme Frontera is an organization made up of six filmmakers from the U.S.-Mexico border region. For 2017, we reached beyond our own border to include films from around the world. This is a preview of our official selections for the 2017 2nd Annual Femme Frontera Filmmaker Showcase.

THE FILMS

Femme Frontera is dedicated to spotlighting stories which challenge common, often false narratives, are told in new, innovative ways and never cease to educate and empower. The 2017 films push, if not altogether smash, huge barriers in regards to gender, geographical borders, cultural identity, and oppression. We are continuing with our mission from last year to challenge bias and perception however, the topics have now expanded and we are sharing our platform with other countries and borders from around the world. Meet the seven filmmakers and selected films for this year's 2nd Annual Femme Frontera Filmmaker Showcase.
